I am a genius, part 2.

I apparently really enjoy fire, whether it be getting burnt, or nearly burning my house down! Last night, I was dying for a snack that consisted of blueberry toaster strudels, so I plopped them into the toaster. Well, I made tea earlier in the evening and the stove was still a little warm, so I waved the icing packet over the electrical thing that was previously in use and since I'm so smart, I dropped it onto the damn thing... and what you see in the photos are what happened. My houses ended up smelling like super burnt marshmallows and I just stood there, wondering WTF, then after the initial shock, I threw some water on it.

So sexy, too.

Girl needs inspiration. Please apply!

My room is such a bore and I hate it. Flipping through various home decor catalogs and seeing how beautifully furnished some of these rooms look makes me so jealous! Right now, my room consists of this shoddy desk, a mattress on the floor (that is now clawed up, thanks to Mr. Pumpkin, my cat), my baby's bassinet which we don't use too often, an inversion table, and a tv. Nothing too exciting. We had bought a queen sleigh bed from Big Lots, which was $300, so you'd think it'd be cool.. but I don't know what happened.. not sure if we somehow broke the bed doing whatever it is that we do (hardcore video gaming, I guess?!) but the frame itself split in half, so we chucked that thing pretty fast. The mattress cost us about $200 so you can imagine how comfortable that thing is. Once I get a new bed though, I'm dying to indulge in some better sheets. At the moment, we have nice ones, that are inexpensive, but they do their job with keeping us cozy and warm. I really would love to have a damask pattern, possibly in a cream or burgundy color, but the ones I've seen are a little expensive. I'm a bed-in-a-bag type girl and I like the cheap price tags that come with those.

I absolutely love this one and it's really not expensive. $70 at Brylane Home.

I am officially stupid!

Typing with only my right hand is a bit of a feat. I was attempting to make grilled cheese sammiches for the hubby & I and in a just random, stupid event, I went to pick up the pan, not by the handle, but by the side. So, the sammiches were a loss since I ended up burning them (I cannot - for some reason - make proper grilled cheese in a pan without total blackened toast and barely oozy cheese) and I did what I normally do, if not putting my Hello Kitty sammich maker in action... I toasted the bread, threw some cheese on it, then microwaved for 20 seconds. Served with tomato soup, yum. Not as classy sounding as using a pan, but it works, and without injury!

I'm waiting to go and pick up my last paycheck from the Halloween store that I left a few weeks back. Probably going to be a sorry paycheck, since it should have like 2 or 3 days on it, but hey, it's much needed money! I've been trying to find a job in the meantime, but nothing really hires down here in this area. The hubby and I are trying to get this house on the market soon so we can move a little west of here, where supposedly there's more of a 'city' life, but who knows.

It's been rainy all day and I love it. This is my type of weather. If I could find a place where I could wear capris and hoodies, I'd be happy with life! Okay, so maybe that wouldn't be so fashionable, but since when did I start caring? I'm all about comfort. Speaking of fashion though, the hubby bought me a Juicy necklace with a strawberry charm on it! It excites me! :D

Cuppincakes Galore!

The family and I all decided to go to Target this morning and I found one of the cutest outfits that combines two of my favorite things. (If you can't tell what they are, please re-read the title of this blog!)

And I've had this outfit, but she can finally fit into 6 months things, so she's wearing her cuppincakes dress.

I love my Bella! I absolutely cannot wait for her to be old enough to help me bake!

Aah, fall is here!

Fall is officially here and nothing has me more excited! Nothing is better than lighting up a pumpkin spice candle and carving into a fresh pumpkin, then baking the seeds with garlic seasonings! Mm, mm! Autumn is definitely my most favorite time of year, with the close runner-up being winter, but in South Carolina, both of these seasons are quite dull. When I was living in Maryland, we had plenty of oak trees lined up throughout the streets and yards and it was so nice seeing the different shades of reds and oranges of the leaves. Down here though, all I see are half dead pine trees... not enticing whatsoever. BUT, the weather is changing and I LOVE IT! No more sticky summers and nasty pesky mosquitos - bye bye for another few months!

I'm making myself hungry just thinking of all the yummy things I'll be baking up this season. Pumpkin and apples galore! I was thinking that I wanted to bake up some cinnamon apple chips sometime soon because it just sounds so tasty! NOMNOMNOM, I say!
